Income generating project
Saving and Credit Cooperatives plays a major
role in improving women's lives as the women can
now access the money they need through loan in
low interest rates to open small businesses in
their villages.
Both saving and credit cooperatives at
Boddit town are performing their business
activities, despite the alarming inflation in
the country. SGDA's projects in capacity
building is
observing a remarkable livelihood
improvement in the members' life.
We organizes the women's group to have a solid
financial structure for load, so that a reliable
trust could be established among them. We also
teach them the importance of saving for the
rainy day when the market goes in the wrong
direction.

The members stated that their saving habit and
the group itself has helped them in resisting
the high inflation rate and the serious market
competition with other rich merchants in the
town. This attitude of members leads to an
increment in their gross saving and capital.
Improvement in the householdsˇ¦ nutritional
system, health issues, access of clean and
protected environment are some of the indicators
for the overall economic enhancement in the
community members. All the members engaged in
different income generating activities by the
money they got from their group as a loan. Some
of the incomes generating activities are
